About Helen

Helen is a Writer, Director & Creative Facilitator from Merseyside. A graduate of the Playwright’s Programme at the Liverpool Everyman Theatre, she has had several plays produced including, ‘The Brink’ and ‘Gun Metal Blue', which won the Blink.Theatre Award for New Writing in 2017. Helen’s recent play, ‘Buckled’ opened at the Shakespeare North Playhouse Studio in March 2024 and was programmed as part of the ‘UP NEXT’ Festival at Unity in May 2024. In March 2025 it toured to venues in the North West and she is hoping to take it further afield in 2026. 

Helen is a recipient of Arts Council England ‘Developing your Creative Practice’ funding and a trustee of Unity Theatre, Liverpool. She currently divides her time between writing, teaching and facilitating sessions  for creatives, young people and adults from a diverse range of communities.
